Through which link can I log in to the system?

You can log in by clicking on the System Login menu located at UZEM Distance Education System (htttps://uzem.mehmetakif.edu.tr).

How can I log into the distance education system?

There are two options on the welcome screen where you can log into the system. To log in with e-government, one of these methods, click the "Log in with e-Government" button on the welcome screen. This method will redirect you to the e-government gate identity verification system. Here, there are many options such as mobile signature, e-signature, internet banking that you can log into the system. Let's use the e-Government Password login field on the welcome screen. For this, enter your T.R. Identity Number and e-government password in the forum fields in order and then click the Log In button.

 

The second option to log into the system is to use your student information system information. To log in with this method, enter your student number in the username form field on the welcome screen, enter your OBS password in the password form field and click the Log In button.

How can I change my password I use when logging into the system?

If you don't remember your OBS password required for system login, you can use the "Forgot your password?" link on the welcome screen to reset your password. When you click on this link, you can reset your OBS password by filling in the requested information on the OBS password reminder screen that appears. With your new password, you can log in to the distance education management system by going to https://uzak.mehmetakif.edu.tr/.

How can I join the live course?

After logging into the teaching management system, go to the my courses tab and enter the course where your live course is located. In the course, click on the BigBlueButton activity to join the virtual classroom. If you see the warning "Waiting for the moderator to join" in the opened virtual classroom activity, this warning means that the instructor has not yet started the live course.

When your live lesson is started by the instructor, the Join Session button will be activated on the virtual classroom page. Click this button to join the lesson.

How can I watch the live lesson recording?

To watch the recorded live lesson videos, go to the records area in the BigBlueButton activity and find the relevant virtual lesson video and click on the presentation button. On the page that opens, you can watch the video by clicking the play button.

Which devices can I watch the courses given by the Distance Education method?

You can participate in the courses from devices such as computers, smartphones, and tablets.

You can join the courses from any mobile browser. (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge etc.)

When I want to join Live Lessons, the screen keeps spinning and does not connect. What could be the problem?

- There could be several reasons for this problem.

- If you are using an ad blocker in your browser, please remove it. Some ad blockers prevent entering live classes.

- Make sure your browser is definitely the most up-to-date version. Outdated browsers can cause such problems.

- Your internet connection may have been cut off or slowed down significantly. Check your internet connection.

- There might be a problem with your device. Try with a different device.

I can't log in to the LMS even though I entered my account information in OBS. What could be the problem?

If you have just received your OBS password or have just changed it; you should first log into OBS using your new password to check if your password is working. If your password is working, you can log into UZEM with the same password.

I can't access the LMS or participate in live classes. How can I get support?

To receive support from us, you can send your "Student No, Name, Surname, Academic Unit (School), Department" information and the problem you are experiencing to the email address uzem@mehmetakif.edu.tr. This is the only contact address you can reach us. There is no other communication tool or email address. When you write your problem to this address, a return will be provided starting from the first incoming email regardless of working hours. To better explain your problem, you can take a screenshot related to the problem and attach it to the email.
